Residence Guide & Agreement

The resident hereby agrees to the following conditions. Please read carefully before making any payment or moving in.

Refund Policy
  1. Refund request within five (5) days of payment, 100% refund on paid amount.
  2. Refund requested five (5) days after payment, 80% refund on the paid amount.
  3. There will be NO REFUND on any payment made FOUR (4) weeks prior to reopening date.
  4. All Refunds can ONLY be claimed or processed by the name on payment receipt.
  5. Use the room allocated for residential purposes only.
Note: The date of receipt of request form shall be treated as date of request.
Procedure for Refund

Fill in person a student refund request form at the hostel Manager's office at Frontline Hostel.

Rules & Regulations
  1. If you encounter any issues or require repairs, please click on the WhatsApp badge to submit a complaint on the website.
  2. Students who are in debt to the hostel or who have not paid the appropriate residence fees in advance will (at the time of reporting) not be allowed into residence.
  3. Students will only be allowed into allocated rooms only upon full payment of residential fees.
  4. Students are to vacate the rooms when the university is on recess unless permitted by the absolute discretion of the hostel subject to payment in full of imposed fees.
  5. The hostel reserves the right to relocate students to a different room of same type.
  6. Students are advised to refrain from late-night outings or entering and exiting the hostel after midnight. The management shall not be held liable for any attacks or robberies that may occur during those hours.
  7. Students shall permit the hostel staff to enter the room unannounced at reasonable times and upon a tip-off, to investigate "perching", drug-related cases etc.
  8. Bed, mattress, table, chairs, gas stove and burners provided by the hostel should not be taken from their respective places.
  9. Stealing and destroying hostel property is strictly prohibited and will result in eviction without any refund.
  10. Room assignments are made randomly. Management reserves the right to assign all units; residents may not claim rights to a particular unit.
  11. Students are responsible for their own keys. Duplication of keys is prohibited. Loss of keys means replacement of lock at the student's cost.
  12. Students are not allowed to take their keys outside hostel premises.
  13. Students must keep the interior of their rooms in good condition and ensure the safety of all items within the room.
  14. Students are not allowed to make alterations or additions to the rooms — no painting, wallpaper, or fixture changes.
  15. Washing clothes, brushing teeth on the balcony, throwing water over the balcony, or hanging mop sticks on balcony are prohibited. Use the washroom or the designated areas in the yard.
  16. It is prohibited to leave taps on and unattended.
  17. "Perching" is strictly not allowed. Any student caught or aiding in perching will be dealt with accordingly.
  18. Removing a mounted TV without prior permission from the manager will result in eviction without any refund.
  19. Making changes to the room including removal of appliances must be approved by the manager. Students are not allowed to cook in the rooms.
  20. Students are only allowed to use hostel rooms for lodging. Any student using the room for commercial purposes, entertainment or parties will be dismissed.
  21. Keep noise level reasonably low at all times, especially between 9:00pm and 5:00am.
  22. Play music only at volumes that don't disturb roommates or floor members.
  23. Notices in the hostel must only be displayed on notice boards with prior permission from management.
  24. Trading in hostel rooms by students, or allowing traders into rooms, is strictly prohibited for security reasons.
  25. Students are not to keep visitors including other students in the hostel after 10:00pm for security reasons.
  26. Students will be held responsible for the conduct of their visitors in the hostel.
  27. All visitors must report at the porter's lodge and sign the visitor's book.
  28. All occupants of a room must give consent before a guest can be entertained in the room.
  29. Males are not permitted to visit female rooms before 7am and must depart by 10pm — and vice versa.
  30. The main gate of the hostel and porters' lodge entry will be shut at 11:00pm.
  31. Students with personal vehicles must register them at the security post every academic year.
  32. Careless driving or over-speeding within hostel premises is strictly forbidden. Offenders will be dismissed.
  33. Washing of vehicles within the hostel compound is prohibited.
  34. The hostel accepts no responsibility for motor vehicles or damages to them. Use of vehicles is at owner's risk.
  35. Visitors with cars will not be allowed in hostel premises after 11pm.
  36. Sexual harassment of fellow students and staff will not be tolerated.
  37. Students are not allowed to abuse (physical, verbal, emotional), discriminate or bully fellow students or hostel employees.
  38. Stealing fellow students' personal items is not allowed. The hostel bears no responsibility for theft in student's rooms. Report all theft to the porters immediately.
  39. Smoking, sale or possession of cigarettes and use of narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited.
  40. Possession of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and dangerous items is strictly forbidden.
  41. Students must vacate rooms in accordance with the university academic calendar. Remove all personal property before leaving for vacation.
  42. Students are not allowed to cook in the rooms.
  43. Electrical appliances such as immersion heaters and air conditioners are not to be used.
  44. Under no circumstances shall a student sell or transfer allocated rooms. Mutual exchange after allotment is not allowed unless approved by the hostel admission office as a special case.

Revocation of Accommodation

The hostel is entitled to revoke accommodation with NO REFUND, in particular if:

  1. Student is found misleading or misrepresenting information during reservation of rooms or payment of hostel fees.
  2. Breach of the above rules & regulations may result in immediate revocation of residential status, including forfeiture of any money paid. Failure to report breach of these regulations by roommates shall be considered an act of collusion and may result in immediate revocation of all occupants of the room.
All students are advised to exercise courtesy, understanding, and love toward fellow students, hostel employees, and management to ensure harmonious co-existence. The hostel is a communal facility — please respect the privacy, convenience, and rights of others.
